Nowadays everything is social and public. What matters in today’s lives is data. Companies makes a lot of profit with your chunk of information. They use your information to understand you better and approach you with the confined information which you may be more likely to be interested in. This in turn gives them profit.
What does Big-data means ? Data which is very big in size ?
Certainly yes !
Big Data means a lot of data.
More the data, more it will be better to understand the subject and easier it will be to come up with an efficient and accurate result.
How is it related to Machine learning ?But before that lets understand what Machine Learning is.
Machine learning is made up of two words. First is Machine and second is Learning.
Well! What does that mean ? Are we trying to get machine learn something ? Sounds weird. Isn’t it ?
It is a lot more than that what its name suggests.
E-commerce sites and Amazon prime displays recommendation section which contains items of our taste.
How do they suggest something without my input?
How does they find information from millions of customers relevant to my product?
Reviews help us do better shopping.
But how do they classify items and provide us with the information about products and offers relevant to our selected product.
How does it make clusters of products frequently bought together ?
How does it show us ratings from thousand of reviews ?
How does it classify items based on their feature?
Answer to all these amazing questions is Machine Learning.
Machine learning enables us to extract the information with the help of some algorithms like clustering and sentiment analysis and display most relevant information to the user.
With machine learning ,the process of analyzing the data and extraction of information becomes faster and so it reduces our time and money both
But how is it related to data ?
Let us understand it with an example.
We have a basket of fruits and one asked us to bring him an apple to eat.
What do we do while selecting apple?
We see out of all fruits, which fruit resemble the most to the characteristics of apple and pick that up.
In a similar way, machine learn and provide us with an accurate and efficient result based on its past experiences.
We need to train our machine first with the sample of inputs relevant to our problem, in our case fruits.
I test my machine with some fruit which may or may not be present in the knowledge of machine. Based on its learning, it will classify items and gives us the result which satisfies maximum features.
Machine learning is of various types like supervised learning and unsupervised learning which then further can be divided into sub parts and each part has its own uniqueness and application.
When now almost everything is being handled by machine then what does IOT means? Where do we use IOT exactly ? Is there any difference between machine learning and IOT?
Ever wondered how the geyser gets switched off on its own once the water is hot enough. Or how the washing machine gets switched off after a timer. Or how some doors get open automatically once we enter the room. Or how we can control various devices such as LED lights, TV with a mobile app.
Answer to all such questions is IOT.
IOT enables us to interconnect various devices over internet so that there can be Machine to machine interaction and, we can access them from anywhere and easily.
Whatever device which gives us the alert after certain point is achieved by IOT.
There is a difference between Machine learning and IOT.
Machine learning is “ learning for past experience” whereas IOT means “Interconnection Between Devices”
There are various companies like ETI LAB Pvt. Limited, Amazon, and many more which provides innovative solutions to human problems with the help of Machine learning and IOT. There aim is to minimize the downtime and increase productivity.
