Exploring AI -A Revolution in Man-Machine Interaction
In today’s world the interaction with intelligent machines has become an every day life event. The advances in Artificial Intelligence(AI) has allowed the development of adaptive machines that can adjust their behavior according to the changing environment enhancing the productivity of man machine interaction.
As AI is becoming the frontier of world-changing technologies, there is a need for systematic approach over implementation of AI to get a powerful impact in the next generation of industrial systems- Industry 4.0.
This emerging technology of AI inculcates the potential of being a power driver of the economic development globally.
So, where does this tremendous technology finds application in ? So,The answer is simple.Just look around yourself ! From providing ease in our day to day lives to permitting rapid growth in many sectors of global economy , Artiicial intelligence is doing wonders.
AI is breaking the language barrier connecting the people around the world by giving us a way of translating speech or text in real time using AI powered language tools in platforms such as Skype. So, It drastically changes the workflow of public administration with less paperwork, quicker responses, a more efficient bureaucracy .
Even the in current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic AI is acting as a backbone. It is using for quick identification of patterns in large volumes of data for gaining perception and taking necessary actions. The AI based chatbots are facilitating communication for people , making them aware about government policies .

Insists Paul Bates , director of NHS services at Babylon Health. Babylon- an application which offers fast symptom diagnosis and access to suitable physicians if needed . This app runs through an AI powered chatbot , providing healthcare assistance to people.
Many of the human-computer interfaces are enlightened by this technology. One of them is ‘ Virtual Reality ‘, which allows an interaction with a virtually simulated environment. In simple words , interacting with a computer , just as we interact with humans and surroundings in real world . Clinical virtual reality provides a cure for many psychological disorders like depression ,anxiety & phobias.VR is also providing our armed forces with battlefield simulations for efficient training. This combined technology is a benefit to the sports industry also . Coaches and players use this for better training across a range of sports , by watching and experiencing certain situations repeatedly and can improve each time.
“Robots are not going to replace humans, they are going to make their jobs much more humane. Difficult, demeaning, demanding, dangerous, dull – these are the jobs robots will be taking.”
As rightly quoted by Sabine Hauert, Co-founder of Robohub.org. , Robotics is the face of future . AI and robotics is a strong combination for automating tasks. AI has become a dominting factor in robotic solutions, introducing flexibility and learning capabilities in previously rigid applications.
With a plethora of use cases, AI has made breakthroughs in man-machine interactions .One of the most common examples we see around today are our beloved Alexa & Siri !
With an intuition that in many platforms machine intelligence may overtake humans. There is a bleak view of AI as a job taker . But it is just the one side of a coin . The no. of jobs taken will be over compensated by more engaging and less repetitive new roles which are expected to be created .

Edge AI is a very rapidly expanding phenomenon, powering everything from smartphones automotive sensors and security systems. As the data continues to grow , it is becoming the need of an hour to implement data computations on the device itself rather than a cloud server. So, Security and speed are the two most crucial factors that the distributed Edge Model can work better in many use cases.
This is just a scratch and the future of this technology is way more interesting than what it is right now .
